Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use DuoAsk at duoask.si. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.

1. Who we are

DuoAsk is operated by Chen Kevin, an individual based in China ("we", "us"). You can reach us at support@duoask.si.

2. What DuoAsk is

DuoAsk is an interactive game for rehearsing hard conversations. In each story you talk with a character, ask questions, and give them your decision. You then read a short account of what happened a year later, a review of the key moments in your conversation, and suggestions for asking better questions. You can also practise individual questioning habits in short drills, and write stories based on your own situations.

The characters, replies, endings and feedback are generated by artificial intelligence. They may be inaccurate, incomplete or unexpected. The stories are fiction. DuoAsk is a practice tool, not legal, financial, medical, psychological or other professional advice, and you remain responsible for the decisions you make in real life.

3. Who can use DuoAsk

You must be at least 16 years old to use DuoAsk. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you can form a binding agreement where you live.

4. Your account

• You can sign up with an email address and password, or with Google.
• Keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Each account is for one person. Creating extra accounts to collect free rounds is not allowed.
• You can ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing support@duoask.si.

5. Rounds and pricing

A round is one complete rehearsal of a story: the conversation, your decision, the year-later ending and the review.

• Every new account gets 2 free rounds.
• You can buy more rounds in packs. These are one-time purchases, not subscriptions:

• Checkout may show prices in your local currency and add sales tax or VAT where it applies.
• A round is used when you send the first message of a story. Continuing that same story does not use another round.
• Drills do not use rounds. Writing a story based on your own situation requires at least one round in your balance, and a round is used when you start playing it.
• Rounds do not expire. They have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged, except as described in our Refund Policy.
• To keep the service available to everyone, there are fair-use limits: a daily limit on AI requests per account, and a length limit per round, after which the character will ask you for your decision.

We may change prices for future purchases. Price changes never affect rounds you have already bought.

6. Payments

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. When you buy rounds, you also agree to Paddle's Buyer Terms. We never see or store your card details.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of what you write in DuoAsk, such as your messages to characters, your answers in drills, and the situations you describe in your own stories. You give us permission to store and process that content only as needed to run the service for you, including sending it to the AI model providers that generate replies (see our Privacy Policy).

Please do not enter sensitive personal information about yourself or other people, such as health details, government ID numbers, passwords or financial account numbers.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use DuoAsk for anything illegal, or to create content that harasses, threatens or exploits others;
• try to get the AI to produce harmful content, or use DuoAsk to generate material for use outside the game at scale;
• get around rounds, usage limits or security measures, or access other people's accounts or data;
• scrape, copy, resell or reverse engineer the service, or overload it with automated requests.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

9. Our content

The stories, characters, artwork, text and software of DuoAsk belong to us. You may use them only through the service for your own personal practice.

10. Changes and availability

We are continually improving DuoAsk and may add, change or remove features. We try to keep the service available but cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. If we ever stop offering paid rounds, we will give reasonable notice by email.

11. Ending your use

You can stop using DuoAsk and ask us to delete your account at any time. If we close your account because you broke these terms, any unused rounds are forfeited, unless the law where you live says otherwise. Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.

12. Disclaimers and liability

DuoAsk is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on AI-generated content. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring claims in your local courts where the law allows.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version on this page and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using DuoAsk after that, you accept the updated terms.
